As a Technical Strategist for the State of Tennessee radio network, I ensure the seamless operation and enhancement of one of the nation's largest statewide radio systems. I collaborate closely with executive customer stakeholders to translate their needs into actionable designs. The State of TN radio network primarily serves first responders users from all backgrounds (Department of Corrections, TN Highway Patrol, federal agencies, and various city and county-wide users) throughout the state with interoperability in mind. Because disasters know no boundaries, agencies can respond as many but communicate as one.

Lead systems engineer for the state of Tennessee Land Mobile Radio network, TACN, and TVRCS. Work close with state officials to efficiently build and upgrade coverage and features of the state wide P25 LMR system. Support the needs of local agencies who want to join and partner with the state-wide radio network. Design and implement microwave backhaul transport integrated with an MPLS network.

Supervise the development and design of complex and innovative radio system solutions primarily focused for first responders including microwave, VMware, and customer design peripheral subsystems. Build relationships with potential customers and vendors to develop technical strategies to help achieve growth and improve overall efficiencies.

Managed a team of 18 engineers that were tasked with operating and maintain the Enterprise Management Foundation Federal Data Repository (EMF FDR) program for the United States Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) system. Oversaw the system deployment plans, internal application training, customer knowledge transfer, service desk monitoring, and security and access related assignments.

I work as a department lead for system integration and test on a system that was being built to support the real time monitoring, managing, and reporting of the VA Information Technology enterprise infrastructure health and status.

Handled troubleshooting and implementing data networks (WAN, LAN, WLAN). This included working directly with customers to identify and resolve the situation quickly through remote testing, configuring equipment dispatching field technicians, and ordering any replacement parts needed. Mentored peers and new employees on system application and network support services.

Provided leadership deploying and maintaining a variety of wired and wireless LAN’s, surveillance systems, and Telco networks. Oversaw the team planning for all network design of WAN/LAN networks including maintaining Visio documentation to provide an overview of company networks and equipment settings. Conducted technical and operational training for new employees. Assessed current policies/procedures and implemented new standards to enhance efficiency.

Formerly know as Metrocall.I was responsible for managing all of the technical services and personnel for the Louisiana market. I was the direct supervisor for 6 field techs throughout the state that provided service to over 800k customers. I had a direct working relationship with our sales teams.
