In this role Eric leads a global team of lawyers that support all aspects of Kyndryl's cybersecurity, privacy and data activities, including cybersecurity, privacy and data incident investigations, corporate strategy, governance, policy and compliance, security and resiliency offering development, and regulatory strategy and compliance. Led a multitude of complex and significant cybersecurity and incident response investigations across the globe, coordinated responses to SEC inquiries relating to cybersecurity matters, developed and implemented internal controls to mitigate and remediate the number and impact of cybersecurity incidents, and served as legal advocate for cybersecurity policies and regulatory activities worldwide. Led a cross-functional (business development, patent engineering and legal) and cross-border team responsible for patent transactions throughout Asia-Pacific and IBM Research technology licensing transactions in Japan and Korea. Led and actively managed all facets of licensing lifecycle, including target and asset identification, development of business case/value proposition, patent infringement and validity analyses, and negotiation and transaction closings with targets.

Eric served in a leadership role as an international assignee supporting IBM’s former Growth Market Unit in Shanghai, China, leading and actively managing high-profile IP and complex commercial disputes, antitrust and regulatory matters and compliance investigations throughout the Asia-Pacific region, provided oversight for significant litigation and regulatory matters in the Middle East & Africa, Central & Eastern Europe and Latin America regions, and served as liaison to the General Counsel's office and senior legal and management teams of affected business units.
