To become responsible for the introduction and implementation of a new MiG Welding practical and theory validation and training platform programme that all manual MiG welding employees and applicants must pass before commencing to weld on any manual MiG welding production process.Trained in Adient's macro lab to enable me to conduct Manual MiG welding macro annalysis of test pieces from applicants and employees and storing data relating to each employee and applicant.To ensure Adient meet or exceed customer expectations and requirements.The introduction of a unique 2D barcode system for all reworked non-conforming production products. This 2D barcode label holds information relating to, Who carried out rework process. When the process was carried out. What the defect was rectified, which relates to what rework process was carried out which is stored on a non-conformance rework database. Total traceability of non-conforming products.

I started working at GKN as a MiG welder / fabricator on the Ford Tractor Cab assembly line. I worked on various production lines, Ford, Austin Rover, Volvo, Nissan, Toyota and Range Rover before progressing into a role in the CI department in fabricating jigs for production use. Progressed to a line leader for over 5yrs running the night shift in the production of the Range Rover chassis. Duties would include covering all production team members roles if required, from MiG welding to loading chassis onto transport, operating overhead pendulum-controlled cranes (maximum load capacity of 40-tons) and the use of production hoists and FLT.Completing time records, production sheets, and monitor quality.Working closely with production teams and CI from Range Rover based at Solihull for over a year.Worked as part of the GKN prototype and development team before redundancy.
