Technical- and managerial leadership role for Computer Systems solutions, with projects ranging from full flight simulator development to modifications of simulators and training devices on location. Focus on host executive frameworks, management of distributed systems, IG interfaces, sensor development, instructor stations and Brief/Debrief stations.2011-2012:Lead designer/developer of Electro-Optical Sensor Suite (ESS) for US CoastGuard's MH-60T training device,located at Mobile Alabama. The ESS is a variant of FLIR Systems' TALON commercial EO/IR sensor, combining CCD, EM-CCD, and IR sensors, along with Laser Illuminator and Laser Range Finder. Simulation integrated with Rockwell Collins’ Common Avionics Architecture System over 1553/429, and includes complete simulation of the CEU and TSU (turret) to support the advanced sensor/tracking operations of the ESS.2013-2014Software Lead for US Coast Guard Program HC-144A Full Motion Training device. Responsibilities included oversight of executive framework, network design, Instructor Station & After-Action-Review design, and communication interfaces to external devices (Image Generator, Instructor Station, After-Action Review Capture station). Responsible for hardware interface abstraction layer to allow same software to control a lower-fidelity version of the training device, where all cockpit avionics hardware is simulated using OpenGL and controlled through touchscreen interfaces.Co-designed and developed simulation of the HC-144A C4SAS sensor suite (CN-235-300M CG01). Sensor suite includes Search Radar, AIS and fully simulated EO/IR FLIR (AN/AAQ-22 Star SAFIRE III) with FLIR, CCD, Spotter Scope sensors. Responsibilities included complete system design (Hardware & Software) and integration, including: 4 60Hz video streams, symbology overlays, moving map functionality, DVR features for the EO/IR streams, full modeling of the turret behavior, including all tracking modes.
