After graduation, I was able to take my employment to the next level and became an HR Specialist. In addition to my previous responsibilities, I took on recruiting for the accounting positions, conducting and developing training, in-depth employee relation analysis, and employee coaching and actions.

As an HR Co-op I was able to dive in and start recruiting for the call center, manage the onboarding of new employees, interact with employees and managers, do exit interviews, and more. This is when I fell in love with HR and knew that interacting and assisting Employees in all stages of their experience with a company is what I am passionate about.

This was the perfect opportunity for me to dabble in HR and still work in the Ski School environment. I was able to still teach and interact with clients, but I was able to increase my level of impact by interacting with the employees more. I was also able to add new responsibilities such as scheduling, training, and Payroll.

As a ski instructor, I was able to develop customer service skills by my interactions with parents, time management by keeping to a schedule, and have a blast teaching kids something that I love!
