CurrentManages the Professional Affairs department for the US Orthopedics division. Works closely with legal and compliance on surgeon consultant contracts, Federal Sunshine Act reporting, grant processing, and staying up to date with AdvaMed and other compliance policies. Responsible for the grant application process for US.Orthopedics i.e. receiving, reviewing, and working with executive leadership, legal, and compliance to approve and process grants.Develops and establishes processes and procedures for the U.S. Orthopedics division concerning HCP consultants and sponsors in tracking HCP contracts, work plans, consultant payments, activities, hours worked, etc. Responsible for conducting the monthly Professional Affairs Review (PAR) with executive leadership to align the organization on active HCP consultants, utilization of contracts, sponsor changes, budget utilization, and overall process deviations and recommendations. Member of the Orthopedics Compliance Committee and provides HCP compliance training to sponsors on best HCP compliance practices. Member of the MedCompli integration team assisting and advising the legal and compliance department in the successful launch and integration of the MedCompli software for CONMED.Manages the departmental budget and assists with planning medical education activities for the Medical Education Department for U.S. Orthopedics. Creates and submits to the VP of Finance and VP of Marketing accurate budget forecasts/projections and tracks/reconciles actual departmental spend. Works collaboratively with Product Marketing, R&D, Sales, Sales Training, and cross functional partners to develop goals for educational events- topics, speakers, and materials that tie into the overall marketing mission. Responsible for assembling and submitting the yearly U.S. Ortho Needs Assessment to legal and compliance.
