Responsible of feed air intake, front end purification, distillation, liquefaction, and product purification. Maintains mass and heat balance through the process. Monitors warm, cold and purification parts process parameters and initiates adjustments. Conducts ASU normal start-up and shutdown. Assures that only good quality products are sent to the storage tanks through operation of online process analyzers. Maintains the reliability of the online process analyzers through periodic calibration. Monitors hydrocarbon content on selected points in the process by Gas Chromatography to ensure safe operation of ASU. Coordinates with logistics regarding production and delivery schedule and storage tank level. Assist in the proper documentation and implementation of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standards.

Responsible of start-up/shutdown and monitoring process parameters of auxiliary equipment in the Air Separation Unit (ASU) such as compressors, refrigeration units, front-end purification units and product purification skids. Coordinates with DCS Operator for process parameters deviations and initiate process adjustment. Performs purity analysis of in storage and out going products such as liquid nitrogen, argon and oxygen. Maintains hydrogen supply for argon purification and back-up tank level for instrument air in case of sudden shutdown of the plant. Also, maintains the reverse osmosis (RO) plant and equipment cooling water system through TDS monitoring, RO membrane cleaning, backwashing and replacement of primary filtration units. Monitors parameters of circulating pumps, make up pumps and cooling towers. Performs daily equipment walk-by/inspection of auxiliary and cooling water system equipment
