Executive and Operations Officer for a Military Police Brigade with over 1,200 Soldiers and civilians who provide support to the United States Disciplinary Barracks and the Midwest Joint Regional Correctional Facility in ensuring the custody, control, and care of over 650 convicted felons and pretrial offenders. Responsible for all brigade support in coordinating with staff sections that consists of personnel, security, operations, training, logistics, equipment, safety, and maintenance. Principle coordinator for individual detention operations subject matter experts to deploy and meet unique warfighter needs across the Army.- Ensured all prison operating procedures and standards were updated and met, contributing to the first ever 100% accreditation rating from the American Correctional Association for both correctional facilities.- Represented the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks and Joint Regional Correctional Facility in all force protection and emergency response matters with other key stakeholders at Ft. Leavenworth and local civilian law enforcement agencies.- Spearheaded a newly formed integrated leadership team and suicide intervention training program in support of established network contacts with the University of Kansas.- Rejuvenated operations within the U.S. Army’s School of Command Preparation, a preparatory school for all newly assigned Battalion and Brigade Commanders.- Developed the implementation of our first ever “Organizational Inspection Program,” resulting in subsequent inspection standards for subordinate units.- Assisted in the constructional design and contract management of a simulated corrections facility used to exploit opportunities for subordinate leaders to further train their personnel directly, adding value to individual skill set and overall operational readiness.- Assisted and provided feedback to the U.S. Army Military Police School in implementing new firearm and fielding instruction.

Directed the Dakota Recruiting District covering 12 stations and over 60 employees across North and South Dakota. Responsible for annual mission accomplishment of recruiting operations to enlist nearly 650 high-quality applicants into the Regular Army, Army Reserve, Warrant Officer Flight Training Program, and Officer Candidate School. Thesis related to school violence and relevancy to active school shootings. Field study consisted primarily with using raw data from various law enforcement tools utilized by the Southern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center (Fusion Center) and interviews with key stakeholders of the Clark County School District. Collaborative efforts of identifying at-risk youth and prioritizing enforcement measures in deterring acts of violence within schools is effective.Overview of empirical research suggest that “critical thinking errors” — and the rationalization process of offenders perpetrating school shootings is common in all situations. There is no direct correlation with other acts of school violence. The identification of the critical thinking error mentality is often difficult to detect, likely requiring close knit relations such as friends, counselors, and parents to intervene more in the future.In addition, gained knowledge of counterintelligence techniques used by the Fusion Center in conjunction with other state and federal institutions.
