Having successfully completed the sale of City Diecutting, Inc. in 2018, I‘ve been seeking new challenges. My leadership is focused on bringing insight gained by merging data and experience. I break down complex problems into manageable tasks and manage my team towards executing successful solutions. Starting from nothing, I built a multi-million dollar company with a national footprint that dominated its niche among publisher clients. Publishers embraced our display products because they increased visibility and sales, and were priced right. My knowledge of their sales channels and logistics made our process appear effortless and embodied confidence. Clients sold more books in-store and online in a geographic area because of our displays. That led to word of mouth referrals and exponential business growth. Working directly with publishers for over 30 years, I’ve been part of many successful marketing and sales teams promoting DK’s Eyewitness Series, Lord of the Rings, The Polar Express, Diary of A Wimpy Kid, and authors John Grisham, James Patterson, and many other #1 Bestseller authors, titles, series and movie tie-in’s. We developed the promotions and continuously delivered the desired high quality results on-time and in-budget while exceeding client’s expectations. The dramatic changes of ebooks and the decline of retail bookstores led me to completely reinvent CityDie three times by adding new products and services to meet client’s needs. Each innovation grew the company larger and more profitable. I developed a strategy for exponential growth in multiple markets, making all the right decisions on financing, suppliers, sub-contractors, employees and more, and was able to alleviate whatever went awry without catastrophe. Clients have noted my easygoing way of bringing the insight needed to facilitate goal focus. I'm calm, thoughtful, engaging and an out-of-the-box thinker. My demonstrated skills embrace the entire business cycle from developing marketing concepts through completed final deliverables with a close eye on the financial realities. My philosophy is simple. Be nice. Love what you do. Do it better than anyone else. Engage smart people to bring solutions, not problems. Honesty, integrity, and transparency are paramount. I've also been cast in a supporting role in a new film, K-TOWN The Series, which will be filming in 2024. I'm short on acting experience, but as a keen observer I have plenty of life experience to draw from to create a character. When I win an Academy Award, I’ll let you know, but don’t hold your breath. 😉
