I worked on water savings projects in the Pulp Mill by replacing water cooling systems with more efficient, water-friendly air cooling systems. I implemented a new piping system to eliminate 5,000lbs of Steam per hour by optimizing hot water usage from the evaporators. Using COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) tests, I was able to analyze the Bleach Plant chemical usage on a daily basis to determine what factors correlated to high, or low, chemical intake.
