Production Control Coordinator

• Coordinate and maintain materials flow, and processes throughout the facility according to Lean Manufacturing protocol to meet production demands. • Schedule assembly, fabrication, paint and sub-assembly areas daily based on current production rates and service orders. • Escalate materials shortages and expedite accordingly. Determine root cause and corrective action. • Determine Kanban levels based on daily rates / consumption and lead time from suppliers. • Liaison between Materials Team (Buyers [supply chain], Kanban Coordinators and Schedulers) and Production Management regarding production status and rate change. • Active in identifying Kaizen (improvement) opportunities involving production, quality, profit, safety and ergonomics. • Coordinate and communicate implementation of new and obsolete parts based on Engineering Change Notices. • Coordinate and safely task Team Members in multiple Kaizen (improvement) projects. • Instrumental part of a team that moved and setup Materials / Flow for new product in the Moses Lake facility during 2008 (Z135 - from Redmond, WA.) and 2010 (Telehandler - from Baraga, MI). • Part of a team that implemented and refined a new Materials Management Software System in 2011 (from AS400 to Oracle). • Participate in monthly Inventory Control Counts.
