Cae Nvh Engineering InternFca Fiat Chrysler Automobiles May 2016 - Aug 2016London, England, Gb• Benchmarked competitor frames in depth and duplicated ideas into the frame of the Dodge Ram 2500 to test for effectiveness in terms of possible mass reduction and NVH performance increase• Mocked up, tested and analyzed the results of different parts of the frame to test for sensitivity, stress and strain then recreated and remolded portions that yielded poor results, with different gauges and materials which provide the highest performance at the cheapest possible cost and lowest total mass• Finished internship with a frame 90 pounds lighter than the current frame with no change of modal frequencies or degradation of full vehicle NVH load case responses• Held several meetings with teams around FCA to discuss the feasibility of my design and progress made with both performance and mass reduction in which I enhanced my communication skills and learned the importance of having the ability to interact effectively
