About Eric Durden Jr
As the owner of The Underground Dance Company, I combine my passion for music and dance to create a unique and exhilarating experience for my clients. I have been a DJ for over five years, bringing the beats and moves that make your soul groove. I specialize in blending the pulsating rhythms of every genre with the captivating artistry of dance, from hip hop to house, reggae to rock, and everything in between.I am also an adjunct professor of dance at Messiah University, where I teach Jazz to Hip Hop, a course that explores the history, culture, and evolution of these genres. I am a certified member of the International Dance Council, and an ambassador of Lindy Hop through the Frankie Manning Foundation. I have taught at local studios since 2009, and I am the company manager for Keystone Dance Project. One of my proudest achievements is co-directing and choreographing the P.R.I.D.E Dance Project, a group of students from the neighborhood where I grew up, who were inspired by my lecture demonstration at their school. I love to share my knowledge, spread the love of social dance, and inspire the next generation of dancers.
