Eric Ebenstein is Head of North America Public Policy at DJI, the world's leading civilian drone company. Eric is responsible for setting DJI's North American policies relating to regulatory issues, and advocating for reasonable and balanced policy outcomes for drone operators at the federal, state and local level, as well as in Canada and Mexico.

Recruited to open POET’s Washington, DC, office and start its national State Government Affairs function. Responsible for directing all facets of state and local government affairs engagement across the United States for a multi billion dollar privately held company. Management responsibility for budget and contract lobbyists/staff. Developed and executed proactive and defensive advocacy strategies for the 50 states. Developed and lead cross functional teams to determine the impact of legislation and regulations and ensure alignment between policy and business objectives.Represented POET before legislative bodies, regulatory agencies and within industry associations. Participated in national government organizations and served as policy expert in various forums.

Reports to the Vice-President and is responsible for all facets of federal, state and local government relations and special projects as assigned. Retains primary responsibility for Eastern Region state and local government relations.

Promoted to assume control of the Southeast region and cover the Eastern Region of the United States for State and Local Government Relations. Programmatic responsibility for US State and Local 50 state lobbying plan.

Responsible for directing government affairs in a U.S. multi-state region (Northeast). Develops and maintains relationships with key state legislative and executive branch leaders to maintain company’s visibility and to enhance its image in the community. Directs company's engagement with Attorneys General and engages with various Governors' groups. Collaborates with internal business partners to devise winning political strategies for retention of multi-million dollar state contracts and for winning new business in support of corporate and public sector business units, including securing tax credits and incentives. Directs the work of and has responsibility for maximizing the value of contract lobbyists in region. Participates in national government organizations and serves as policy expert in various forums.
