Aon Corporation (Industry Leader in Risk Management & Consulting) 2000 to 2009Senior Account Executive - (SVP) I managed all facets of our client’s business partner relationships. These partners included: actuaries, brokers, consultants, insurerss, MGA’s and TPA’s. Clients were both personal lines and commercial carriers.• Risk Identification & Management – Skilled at analyzing loss volatility on both an experience and exposure basis. This analysis involved extensive use of the client’s data files and converting them into “standardized formats” (ESRI, etc.) to manipulate the information.• Pricing Analysis (Primary & Excess) – Assisted clients in the pricing analysis of their lines of business (LOBs). The objective was to ensure the primary products were comprehensive in coverage and competitive in price.• Industry Compliance – Worked with clients to ensure the adequate (and timely) processing of their filings and other requested reports.• Contract Negotiations – Negotiated coverage to address the unique exposures of clients. This included the drafting of contract terms and conditions, as well as the interpretation of treaty language.• Program Design – Designed, and placed, coverage to reduce volatility at pricing efficiencies. Programs included the use of fronting/captive relationships, as well as the more “traditional” risk transfer vehicles of pro-rata, excess and stop loss coverage• Program Management – Extensive experience coordinating with internal staff, and outside consultants, to implement corporate goals and objectives. • Resource Management – I am well acquainted with the need to implement (and manage) goals without the support from a large number of dedicated staff.• Alternative Solutions (ART Products) - Created non-traditional solutions when conventional coverage did not meet the client’s needs or expectations. • Presentations - Developed and presented solutions to corporate executives.
Worked with senior executives on Property & Casualty (P&C) business relationships to enhance client services and retention. Appointed company liaison for outsourced services in data analysis and project management. Became part of the production team for new business opportunities and alternative solutions.¨ Member of a newly expanded P&C team to increase revenue from this sector. During tenure at Collins, unit’s share of organization’s overall revenue doubled. ¨ Mentored multiple brokers regarding business analysis, reinsurance program construction, and client management.¨ Authored 1996 Pacific Northwest Winter Storm “white paper”. Document resolved dispute whether this was one catastrophe event or two. Ultimately, market agreed to one event which saved the client a second retention ($4M).¨ Coordinated and managed, client outsourced services for: loss development trending, catastrophe exposure analysis, and the development, assessment & implementation of Dynamic Financial Analysis (the predecessor to Enterprise Risk Management [RM]).¨ Created pricing model for eight “Lloyd’s First Loss Scales” that calculated facultative pricing for a commercial property portfolio. Model facilitated pricing and placement of a high limit per risk treaty, while reducing client’s cost of: ceded premiums, in-house expense, and exposure issues for “unbound” coverage. Model also used to ensure primary pricing adequacy.
