Eric Eisemann founded E2 Land Use Planning Services in 2001. The company provides land use consulting services to local governments and utilities in Washington State and to private parties, utilities and non-profit organizations in Oregon. Long range planning, comprehensive plan and code drafting, public utility entitlements and historic and natural resource management are specialties. Washington clients have included: the cities of Battle Ground, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield, Stevenson, Washougal and Winlock. In Oregon, E2 provides project management and permit entitlements to public and private clients. Recent entitlement projects included intra-jurisdiction and local potable and wastewater infrastructure, comprehensive plan amendments and development code amendments.

Mr. Eisemann taught the Legal Issues in Historic Preservation and Professional Practice and Ethics classes in the graduate program in Historic Preservation from 1983 through 2019.

Project portfolio includes growth boundary expansions, subdivisions, planned developments, commercial buildings, industrial uses, forest camps and dwellings in the Columbia River National Scenic Area. Represented clients in the administrative review process, public hearings and land use appeals.

Eric Eisemann was the first Executuve Director of this statewide non-profit organization. During Mr. Eisemann's tenure, the HPLO led the public fight to save significant historic resources from demolition, including Crater Lake Lodge, the Historic Columbia River Highway and the network of historic bridges gracing US 101 in Oregon. The HPLO conducted a successful conservation easement program, leading to the permanent protection of 35 historic buildings. In addition, the HPLO generated numerous public education materials in print, slide and video format.
