Transitioned to a more development focused role and tackled several projects to replace existing business processes and infrastructure in new and existing applications, these initiatives included: • Updated several review processes that streamlined workflows that removed existing Excel checklists and several other manual processes to alleviate logistical challenges in the organization’s new location.• Created a new loan document ordering system complying with new MISMO XSD specifications and best practices. Implemented and suggested many structural changes during reviews to reduce duplication and improve maintainability.• Created a REST API that integrated our internal systems with a third party loan origination system, this allowed brokers to shop several lenders from one application with one set of information.• Created a set of standardized libraries for bootstrapping microservice applications and clients within the enterprise.• Created a series of platform and data microservices, such as logging, data and configuration, to be used as the backbone for upcoming application service layers. This allowed for replacement of legacy systems using the strangler pattern, containerization, cloud migration, horizontal scaling, continuous deployment and development of new user experiences that contain no dependencies on domain logic.

Mentored several developers to become Release Engineers. With the assistance of these new engineers, refactored a custom deployment dashboard application that helped guide Business Analysts and Developers to create quality deployments. Created an additional dashboard application that aggregates data from TeamCity, Octopus, TFS and the F5 load balancer appliance to report the version and application pool for production applications. Undertook the process of documenting build and deployment processes for all production applications in the enterprise. Systematically replaced TFS Build and Release Management applications with TeamCity and Octopus to allow for a quicker, more transparent, and maintainable build and deploy process. Oversaw the ongoing development of an Electronic Medical Record web portal and associated applications. Created a detailed road map for milestones and made significant progress towards an end goal of ONC Meaningful Use Stage 2 certification. Directed a team to eliminate several performance bottlenecks in the IT infrastructure. Tuned the performance of several SQL queries increasing the application performance and reliability. Focused on the development of web connected desktop applications in Java, Flex and Groovy. Designed and maintained a continuously integrated build, test and simulated vehicle environment in TeamCity to ensure the validity of service procedures.Enhanced and maintained an XML based Domain Specific Language (DSL) and Graphical IDE for Vehicle Diagnostics using the Flex framework. Designed and maintained several desktop applications in Java. One of these applications was a door durability tool used for long term collection and graphing of various metrics obtained using a J2534 compliant vehicle diagnostic tool.
