I worked as a patrol officer from 1993 to 1997. I became a canine handler in 1997 until the retirement of my canine partner in 2003. In 2003 I returned to patrol where I was also a FTO. I applied, tried out for and was accepted to the SWAT Team in 2004 while still on patrol. Our SWAT Unit is a part time unit comprised of operators from nearly every area.
