Working in a manufacturing setting, assembling light fixtures. From this experience I am learning about the 5S, Kanban, and the 8 wastes.

I attended lecture for Organic chemistry and then planed and carried out a session to help students further understand the material.

I help students both understand the material and improve their study skills.

A method was developed to identify the base polymer of an unknown material for recycling purposes. This method uses Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The GC/MS determines the chemical makeup of the gas sample. It was determined that the polymers break down into short repeat units of the polymer chain. This method will help sort recyclable materials based on their polymeric properties.
