• Animation of the teams to identify business needs and technical opportunities. More than 100 idea disclosures, generating 30 patents are issued per year. • Definition and management of Research and Technology programs portfolio, with laboratories, research centers or external partners before transfer to development teams : 10 projects per year on 5 sites worldwide for a total budget of $ 2.2M. Some examples : end-of-life indicators for chemical protection gloves, micro-channeled textile for sweat evacuation, shock absorption structures, sound recognition for intelligent acoustic attenuation, detection of dangerous or abnormal situations, data driven decision support systems... • In charge of the organization and management of technology survey, publication of a quarterly newsletter about technologies evolution and emerging solutions for the R & D and Marketing communities. • Coordination with marketing and sales teams to capture customer needs in terms of products, services and technologies, creation of the technology part of the strategic plan and road maps. • Owner of Safety Products connected solutions, IIoT and data-based services and their exploitation. Definition of the “Connected Worker” ecosystem covering the entire product range and coordination of the participating projects.

• Management of technical services: research and development, industrialization, prototypes and laboratory (24 people). People development of employees, management of operating and investment budgets (1.8 M €). • Restructuring the teams and improving processes and methods doubled the capacity for new product development. Introduction of new concepts (closed-circuit breathing equipment, still unique in the market) and introduction of electronics in new products. • Certification of new products to applicable european directives and standards. • Coordination with other R & D departments of the group and marketing teams. • Generalized deployment of Six Sigma (Lean for Manufacturing Engineering, Design For Six Sigma for R & D): cost reduction (5 to 10%) and quality increase for main products (ppm <2500).

• Creation and supervision of a team of program managers (8) answering all calls for tenders, in charge of the instruction, development and defense of the technical proposals. • Implementation of system engineering and program management. This transformation of the OEM model towards systems integrator has allowed the establishment of privileged relationships with aircraft manufacturers and a growth greater than 10% per year over the period. • Accountable for reaching programs technical, financial and calendar targets. • Market research, competitive, technological and regulatory watch. • Creation of unit in charge of prospective to anticipate technological developments and test new concepts, for example a mask prototype with monitoring of physiological parameters and control of operating parameters in partnership with the CSEM. • Definition of the product strategy, participation in evaluations of external acquisitions.

• Management of research and development teams, development and monitoring of project indicators. The implementation of project management and configuration management methodologies resulted in a reduction in the average development cycle from 24 to 18 months. • Creation of a new generation of oxygen masks for commercial aircraft pilots and high performance masks for military pilots. • Development of models and methods for the design of personalized, comfortable and efficient breathing masks, publication and communication at international symposium (SAFE).
