Project: Converted legacy applications written in VB 6, VB.NET Net 1.1/2.0 into a CMS web application written in C#, ASP.NET .Net 4.5. IT discovered that the application didn’t work on Windows 7 x64.Key contributions:• Upgraded EDI Out application to use a 3rd party library to generate 4000-6000 PDF invoices a day• Updated search capabilities for finding invoices and creating batch files• Updated EDI Portal user interface to make more visually appealing and user friendlyProject: Event/Spring Meeting SoftwareSpring Meeting software is used to submit meeting requests and register attendees for annual conferences. It was discovered that we didn’t have the source code for both projects and there was several issues relate to application performance and usability that need addressed.Key contributions:• Reversed engineered both applications deployed .dll files to come up with starting point for source code• Upgraded applications from .Net 1.1 to .Net 4.0, C#/ VB.NET• Updated UI to work across web browsers• Added PDF, Excel Reporting and SQL jobs for sending HTML email reports• Added email registration confirmationProject: Meeting Schedule GeneratorWe were using a 3rd party Software to generate several hundred meeting schedules each year for our annual meeting. This application was slow and very time consuming to create schedules and run reports.Key contributions:• Created C# application using SQL Server 2005 to generate the meeting schedules and reports• Reduced time to create schedules from 2 days down to less than 30 minutes• XML configuration file for quick setup on any computer needed to run the software
