Software engineer with a strong background in web development and considerable experience in a wide variety of programming positions and engineering challenges.I currently work as a software engineer for Apple, out of their Cupertino, CA headquarters.I possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Miami, where I maintained a 3.5 GPA. Throughout my undergraduate career I took on several engineering- and programming-related internships with organizations such as the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the satellite services provider known as Intelsat.I have a breadth of experience with common programming languages including C/C++ and Java, as well as extensive end-to-end web development experience, with work in JavaScript/jQuery AngularJS, HTML5 and CSS3 with Bootstrap, and back-end development using PHP and Spring with Hibernate. I have exhaustive experience with SQL database querying, design and management along with moderate experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB. I have programmed extensively on Linux, Windows and OS X operating systems. I am very experienced in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, and knowledgeable of other scripting languages as well.Additionally, my education in computer engineering has given me a sound understanding of electrical engineering principles and various aspects of computer architecture, processor builds, and analog/digital circuit design. Though my interests trend primarily towards software engineering and development, I am open to work in the field of embedded systems, electronics, and other areas more closely linked with electrical engineering.
