Directed and supervised by President/CEO, I am responsible for the effective operation of the division to include supervision, evaluation, planning and enhancing of production and facility activities. On a regular basis I confer with the President/CEO concerning production setup, production priorities, time schedules, workflow, etc.

As Business Development Manager, I am directed and supervised by the President/CEO. I am responsible for all contract procurement of the production department, to present the industrial capabilities of VARC, Inc. to current and potential customers, and to achieve established sales goals. The essential functions of the position are to seek contracts or job orders for review and approval, prepare bids and quotations for approval and submission to new and existing customers. I am responsible for maintaining a specified level of production revenues and conferring on a regular basis with the General Managers, Logistics Manager, and President/CEO concerning production setup, production priorities, time schedules, and work flow. Other responsibilities include follow up and periodic communication with all customers and for public relations as assigned. As an additional aspect of this position I spearhead the marketing for our company including website and additional materials to promote VARC and our capabilities. Finally, I am in charge of researching and securing state and federal contracts, research tooling and equipment for potential contracts, and to research small business development ideas. All of these duties and others are accepted as assigned by the President/CEO.

As Account Manager, I was responsible for meeting and exceeding individual sales budget and territory growth goals while providing outstanding value and service to Direct Supply customers. I was able to manage continuous customer contact and develop long-term buying relationships with individual customers and with facilities. An intense three week training period allowed me to develop a strong understanding of Direct Supply products and services. This training also made me understand the operations of a health care facility including: budgeting process, state survey process, department roles and responsibilities, resident profiles, levels of care, and the decision-making process. All of this helped me make effective use of all selling tools, systems, and technology as well as coordinate with internal departments to respond quickly to customer needs, requests, and problems. During my tenure at Direct Supply, I was able to expand and grow an East Coat Territory that had not been worked for over two years. Within my first few months, I had achieved the most sales in a division of 350+ Account Managers for a budgeted month. I continued to meet budget and establish relationships with customers all over the East Coast.

Assisted in inventory control, shipping, receiving, and product assembly. Gained exposure to various aspects of industrial product distribution.
