Current• Perform legal research and prepare motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment in wage and hour disputes arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, employment discrimination actions under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and analogous state laws.• Represent employers in traditional labor matters, including the drafting of proposals, tentative agreements, bargaining session notes, and stipulations of settlement memorializing the final terms of agreement in collective bargaining negotiations, and the resolution of unfair labor practice charges brought before the National Labor Relations Board.• Conduct buyer-side and seller-side legal due diligence to identify potential exposure related to target’s labor and employment policies and obligations in both equity and asset transactions.• Draft restrictive covenant agreements, release and separation agreements, and various employment handbook provisions, including vacation and other paid time off policies, drug testing policies, and FCRA-compliant background check policies.
