I have RN experience on a med/surg telemetry floor, in an operating room, and in the emergency department.Med/surg telemetry position required a lot of multi-tasking skills. I was tested and tried every work day to perform numerous tasks in a timely manner in order to promote good health. Operating room was a great learning experience. I worked in an OR with 25 operating room suites. We as a hospital performed roughly 100 surgeries per day. This position pushed my limits as I had the opportunity to learn about new equipment and procedures that I never knew existed. I learned hundreds of new equipment and terms. I was able to exceed expectations in this position. Emergency Department - I meet dozens of new patients daily. I build relationships to gain trust in order to administer medications and perform tasks to benefit their health. I have learned many skills including IV insertions and other required tasks that the position requires. This job is all about people. I am developing exceptional people skills that will be advantageous in my pursuit of a business to business sales career. Nursing has required countless hours of study and hard work. Used Epic computer charting software system. Took care of people in a 30 bed Operating Room. This was a level 1 trauma center. I left this position because my wife got pregnant and we wanted to be back in California for everything. This ended my career in the operating room.
