Maintenance Technician Iii
CurrentI am responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of county grounds, to include lawn maintenance and snow removal, facilities and equipment in a safe and efficient manner following current federal, state and local standards. I report to the Facilities Foreman, and ensure essential mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems of my respective buildings are operating at optimal efficiency.I am a lead worker to department Maintenance Technician I & IIs, training proper procedures for preventive/corrective maintenance, installation and repairs, and proper safety procedures.I assist in the development and monitoring of the annual operating and capital budgets. I manage small public works projects relating to my assigned buildings infrastructure. Work with the Facilities Foreman and Deputy Director – Asset Management to develop a lifecycle/replacement schedule for building systems and equipment, then manage the project life-cycle from planning through completion phase, to include monitoring outsidevendors and contractors in performing work in and on county buildings, equipment, andGrounds.Communicate with the Deputy Director – Asset Management, department heads anddepartment managers regarding building issues. Respond promptly to department requestsfor service through the work order system.Maintain necessary logs and reports associated with operating and maintaining buildingmechanical systems, and those required by Federal, State, and local regulations.Perform weekly test of emergency generators and sample and adjust boiler plants, closed heating and cooling loop, and pool water systems.
