Software Engineer
CurrentResponsible for:- Contributing to all software life cycle phases for IEC 62304 compliant, FDA approved, safety critical, medical devices- Creating a Python framework that interacts with a hardware simulator to replicate hardware and embedded communication protocols allowing EE’s to test FPGA gate ware and SoC functionality. - Working with the Electrical team to program FPGAs via SPI/UART from custom CLI and parent SOC (C++/Python)- Assisting with software feature development for released, FDA approved code (C++)- Updating Software Installer UI to add a faster transfer rate option (Qt)- Converting unit tests from being run on target to run on Windows (VectorCAST/C++)- Unit testing major subsystem, applying MC/DC coverage to safety-critical functions (C++/ VectorCAST/ Batch)- Writing automated and manual Integrated Tests and Test Procedures for software requirements (Python/ C++/ IBM DOORs)- Working with various engineering disciplines to achieve a common goal (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Test, Systems)
