I am a Data Science masters student with a passion in AI, Machine Learning, and Data-driven solutions and I aspire to become an AI engineer in the rapidly growing field of AI and Machine learning. The fast paced machine learning field fascinates me due to its wide range of applications and I love connecting with people who share my passion for data-driven solutions and improving efficiency by implementing cutting-edge AI tools into our daily lives.I originally chose to study Statistics at Western Washington University because of my passion for baseball, with a dream of one day working in an MLB front office. While my passion for working in the baseball world ebbed, the rise of AI piqued my interest and I decided to put my skills to use in that field, taking a job at Xembly, an AI startup focused on improving the productivity of workers around the world. This deepened my interest in the AI field and pushed me to pursue a higher degree in Data Science. At Montana State University, I have embarked on a journey to gain a deeper understanding of the technology that powers our modern world. My studies are tailored to be focused on practical applications of AI and machine learning through my courses and projects with an aim at extracing actionable insights from data. IThroughout my life, I have had the unique privilege of spending summers engaged in commercial fishing in the Alaskan wilderness. The experiences gained while living on the tundra have profoundly shaped my character and outlook. In addition to mentoring new crew members and managing daily fishing operations, I have implemented a data-driven approach to optimize processes. This strategy has effectively reduced the crew’s workload while preserving the high levels of fishing success we consistently achieve. In all aspects of my life, I strive for excellence and am committed to continually seeking new knowledge. Outside of work and school I am an outdoor enthusiast, baseball fan and gym-goer.
