My law enforcement career began in 1999 and I have served as a Texas police officer since 2001, with the majority of that time at my current department which serves a growing city of over 200,000 residents.I spent the first 20 years of my sworn career working in the Patrol Division, where I served as a Field Training Officer and was fortunate enough to receive several awards, including the Rookie of the Year Award, two Uniformed Officer of the Year Awards, and two Lifesaving Awards.After that I transferred to a detective position in the Criminal Investigations Division. I was first assigned to the Property Crimes Unit before moving to the Crimes Against Persons Unit, allowing me to gain experience in a wide variety of investigations. I then secured a position in the Intelligence Unit where I currently focus on specialized investigations. During my time as a detective, I have been honored to receive a Police Commendation and Detective of the Year Award.
