• Managed and operated the academy’s premiere student makerspace, “The Nest,” and oversaw all its operations during the permanent staff member’s leave of absence. Have since been invited back as Proctor.
• Instructed community members, students, and staff on how to achieve their goals through use of equipment in the lab, including Form2 and Makerbot 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, vinyl cutters, and other.
• Collaborated closely with faculty from several different departments to integrate the enriching capabilities of the makerspace into their own curricula.
• Maintained a safe and vibrant environment for students.

State Colleve, Pennsylvania

• Regularly presented classes on 3D printer use, laser cutter use, basic Arduino skills, soldering, and general safety training to community members of all ages and backgrounds.
• Served as The Make Space’s point of contact for interacting with the town’s news media, government, library, schools, and other local organizations.
• Organized several hands-on maker workshops and facilitated engaging STEAM events for the community.
• Responsible for handling the community organization’s finances, insurance, and compliance with all applicable laws.

• Jointly created and taught six semesters of a premiere class on the Self-Replicating Rapid Prototyper (RepRap) 3D printer and related open-source technologies.
• Presented lectures covering the social and historical context of this project, the etiquette of the open-source community, and relevant technical instruction on 3D printer assembly and use.
• Oversaw every step of construction and upkeep of 23 RepRaps built by student teams.
• Taught students how to navigate and make full use of Wiki documentation, as well as how to edit and improve it along the way.

State College, Pennsylvania

• Responsible for selecting and transcribing passages from the handwritten manuscripts of science fiction author Philip K. Dick for use in an abridged version of his "Exegesis," released in November 2011 as the flagship.
• Managed the team's Wiki and created systems to organize and easily navigate through the 91 folders which his 9000 pages of manuscript were spread between.
• Wrote several glossary entries and footnotes which are included in the final published work.
