Leads the interagency process as the principal staff advisor to the U.S. Southern Command providing direction, oversight, facilitation, coordination, and synchronization of the Command’s activities. Provides expert advice concerning current and future civilian agency capabilities, limitations, and approaches to the Deputy Combatant Commander and U.S. Southern Command staff principals. Identifies, establishes, and maintains contact with appropriate civilian agency personnel. Provided assistance in coordination and synchronization of command-wide interagency efforts in theater security planning, deliberate planning, crisis planning, crisis response, transition, and post-crisis reconstruction activities.Represents the Combatant Commander, Deputy Combatant Commander, and Chief of Staff in dealings with partner nation senior government officials including the staff and principals of the Department of Defense and other U.S. government departments such as, but not limited to, the Departments of State, Justice, Commerce, Homeland Security, Transportation, Agriculture, and Treasury.Synchronizes all USSOUTHCOM Operations, Activities, and Investments with the following government agencies: Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS), U.S. Agency for International Development/Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA), U.S. Customs Service (USCS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), United States Secret Service (USSS), and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Recommends and assists in U.S. Southern Command alignment and proposals for representation with national intelligence community organization such as Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Security Agency (NSA), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Geospatial Agency (NGA), and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

Joint Training System Specialist for one of the United States Combatant Commands, J-7 Theater Engagement Directorate. Supports, interacts and understands the challenges and equities inherent at both the national and operational levels. Provides expertise on the policy, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones necessary for efficient planning, development, execution, and evaluation of Combatant Command Joint training in accordance with regulatory guidance. Conducts analysis/improvement of COCOM Joint Exercise program (JEP) and the implementation of the joint training system to improve Joint readiness. Works as a member of a Joint Training Team that supports the policy, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones necessary for efficient conduct of joint training. Provides expert advice to the Commander/ Directors on the four Phases of the CJCS JTS: Requirements, Plans, Execution, and Assessment, Supports the Combatant Commander/ Director's in the establishment, revision, and execution of a comprehensive, organization-wide Joint training program and working on various projects that involve aspects of joint training. Provides support to enable Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) utilization during the Requirements, Plans, Execution and assessment phases of the Joint Training System, Supports the COCOM headquarters and C/JTFs in developing and identifying training objectives for each of the Mission Essential Task Lists (METL) tasks for designated exercises or training events. Implements the plans process identified in JTS Phase II (plans phase) in the development of an organizational Joint Training Plan (JTP). Populates Joint Master Scenario Event List (JMSEL) tool with required data/information for designated exercises and support team leads with JTIMS data entry/updates for designated exercises.

Served as the Principal Senior Enlisted Advisor at the Four Star Level to the Combatant Commander of United States Southern Command; responsible for over 2000 Military Personnel operating in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean; assists and advises the Commander on all matters pertaining to enlisted service members; informs all enlisted personnel of Combatant Commanders' guidance, intent, and policies; provides Senior NCO level theater engagement to 33 different partnering nations within the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility; assists and supports subordinate commands with partnering nations NCO development; counsels, advises, and mentors enlisted personnel within the Headquarters, Joint Task Force Bravo (Honduras), JTF-GTMO (Cuba), Joint Interagency Task Force South, Special Operations Command South, U.S Army South, US Navy South, US Air Force South, and Marine Forces South on professional development and personal matters; assists in inspections, investigations, and ceremonies; assumes other duties designated by the Combatant Commander.

Serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Army Element assigned to United States Army Southern Command. Advises the Army Element Commander a Major General on all matters pertaining to all assigned Non Commissioned Officers and enlisted matters for over 500 personnel; Responsible for all Non Commissioned Officer training and development in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility which includes South America, Central America, and the Caribbean; over sees the funding and operations of the Colombia Army Sergeants Major Academy in Bogota Colombia.

Served as the Battalion Operations Sergeant Major for a Light Infantry Battalion. I was the principal NCO in the operations section, I Provided tactical and technical guidance and professional support to subordinates and made recommendations to superiors in the accomplishment of their duties. I Served as the principal noncommissioned officer in an infantry battalion to supervise the processing of operations and intelligence information in an infantry battalion. I assisted with plans, coordination, and supervised activities pertaining to organization, training, and combat operations. I edited and prepare tactical plans and training material. I also coordinated implementation of operations, training programs, and communications activities.

First Sergeant of a 180 man Stryker Rifle Company deployed to Iraq along with a forward area surgical team of 6 medics, a section of 6 cooks, and 1 mechanic; responsible for the security and daily force protection improvements of Combat Outpost 860 in Al Hadar, Baghdad; responsible for assisting the commander in planning, coordinating, and controlling missions and targets; supervises the maintenance and accountability of 21 Stryker vehicles and their associated equipment; assists the commander in partnering with three Iraqi Army Companies; recruited, trained, and led 1200 Iraqi Nationals who were members of the Sons of Iraq covering six different Mulhallahs in East Rashid Baghdad.

First Sergeant of a 131 man Air Assault Infantry Rifle Company deployed to Iraq both in Baghdad and Samarra; responsible for security and daily force protection improvements of 4 combat outposts along main supply route Tampa; responsible for life support at 5 different locations; responsible for assisting the Commander in planning, coordinating, and controlling missions and targets; supervises the maintenance and accountability of 33 HMWVs, 3 LMTVs, and other equipment valued in excess of $5 million; assists the Commander in partnering with a 140-man Iraqi Army unit.

Served as a Rifle Platoon Sergeant for a 39 man Air Assault Infantry Platoon which participated in the initial invasion of Iraq. We conducted combat operations from the border of Kuwait, to the clearance of Al Hilla, and Baghdad. After Baghdad we were moved to Sinjar Iraq where we worked with Peshmerga Forces conducting joint patrols. We were then assigned to duty to rebuild the local police forces. We conducted joint patrols with the police and I was in charge of the training of over 150 Iraqi Police Officers during this time period. After completion of our mission in running the Iraqi Police Academy, we were moved to Mosul to once again participate in combat operations until we redeployed to Ft Campbell Kentucky.
