Possess excellent oral, written and presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of management, capable of articulating risk management solutions to the business, ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, as well as time-management skills.

Patrol an installation charged with the use and transshipment of hazardous nuclear cargo. The Group's mission includes the trans-shipment of hazardous nuclear cargo. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, secure the facility, equipment, and nuclear materials which are on the terminal on a permanent basis. The installation is closed to the public and security protections are characteristic for national defense and include measures concerning force protection, anti-terrorism, etc. Control personnel access to and from the installation, which is a highly restricted terminal that has a high level of force protection conditions due to its criticality to DOE strategy. Maintain well developed analytical, organization, computer, communication, and writing skills. Monitor plant security utilizing perimeter cameras and control access to facility through remotely operated gates. Maintain the ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and maintain objectivity with the capability to handle controversial situations in a positive manner. The facility deploys electronic intrusion detection systems (IDS). Maintain experience in such work as with a private protective organization that involves the protection of property against such hazards as fire, radiological theft, damage, accident, or trespass, maintaining order and protecting life. Maintain effective oral and written communication skills, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, ability to use computer software to maintain electronic records and databases, ability to exercise independent judgment, ability to work with and maintain positive professional working relationships with community leaders, law enforcement, and others.
