Conduct pre-investigative activities; perform investigative planning, technical report writing, dispute resolution, post-investigative activities and other ongoing duties. Conduct investigations subject to the application of local rules and regulations. Possess the ability to understand research, and apply state and federal administrative rules, statutes and legal precedents. Maintain the ability to understand and apply administrative and legal precedents impacting enforcement activities including the ability to work cooperatively in a governmental setting. Possess the understanding of compliance assessments, risk assessments and risk analysis for the department. Duties include the conducting of accurate and thorough assessments of the potential risks and vulnerabilities to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data/information held by the department to include; identifying and documenting threats/vulnerabilities, determining threat occurrence, impact and risk level, validate remediation's through follow-up compliance reviews. Possess at least five (3) years or more of progressive, technical experience conducting risk assessments, and compliance reviews. Possess excellent oral, written and presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of management, capable of articulating risk management solutions to the business, ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, as well as time-management skills.

Patrol an installation charged with the use and transshipment of hazardous nuclear cargo. The Group's mission includes the trans-shipment of hazardous nuclear cargo. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, secure the facility, equipment, and nuclear materials which are on the terminal on a permanent basis. The installation is closed to the public and security protections are characteristic for national defense and include measures concerning force protection, anti-terrorism, etc. Control personnel access to and from the installation, which is a highly restricted terminal that has a high level of force protection conditions due to its criticality to DOE strategy. Maintain well developed analytical, organization, computer, communication, and writing skills. Monitor plant security utilizing perimeter cameras and control access to facility through remotely operated gates. Maintain the ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and maintain objectivity with the capability to handle controversial situations in a positive manner. The facility deploys electronic intrusion detection systems (IDS). Maintain experience in such work as with a private protective organization that involves the protection of property against such hazards as fire, radiological theft, damage, accident, or trespass, maintaining order and protecting life. Maintain effective oral and written communication skills, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, ability to use computer software to maintain electronic records and databases, ability to exercise independent judgment, ability to work with and maintain positive professional working relationships with community leaders, law enforcement, and others. Maintain a professional demeanor while working with the community.

Use of survey instruments and office equipment such as calculators/ computers may be required. Assist in the proper location of homes, surroundings, property lines, and property corners using up to date surveying equipment and technology. Conduct maintenance of all surveying equipment. Basic use of common outdoor surveying tools and equipment such as an ax, bush axe, shovel, metal detector, machete, etc. Long days in climate extremes necessary and a job requirement. Serve as rodman and chainman on survey party. Possess the ability to use sledge hammer to drive stakes and cut bushes. Observe density tests on soils and aggregates requiring digging, weighing, and measuring volumes. Inspect roadway and structure projects. Perform minor calculations for survey notes and estimates. Available for work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays to fulfill inspection and surveying needs. Subject to outside environmental conditions, noise and hazards from vehicles and construction machinery. Possess a valid Class C Driver's License. Utilize safety toe shoes as required. General knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering.
