Conducted baseline measures of interpreter services at each hospital in the system for foundation report. Conducted independent, international comparative study of housing policy and affordability in Sonoma County, CA and the Netherlands. Collected data on case study areas via journals, government documents, and numerous interviews with planning officials in both locations. Made recommendations for the California context and gave oral and written presentation of findings.

Assisted faculty in developing a tobacco health cost-effectiveness model for various policy interventions. Attended regular meetings to discuss research design and project status. Conducted secondary data collection and data analysis for simulation model implementation. Edited and co-authored articles now in print.

Assisted faculty’s statewide pre- and post- evaluation of traffic safety interventions (Caltrans’ SR2S). Attended weekly meetings to discuss research design and project status. Participated in statewide field data collection. Characterized 75 project sites and 205 schools served by the project using data from the US Census, California Dept. of Education, and other sources. Evaluated effectiveness of funding program and made recommendations for improvement. Gave oral and written presentation of findings at undergraduate research symposium.
