Manage the day to day functions of our IT infrastructure. A typical day ranges from deploying new hardware and software all the way to administering servers and networking aspects of the business. I work alongside a young dynamic team of professionals who challenge me on a daily basis.

Handle day to day operations in a data centre environment. Everything from fibre optic infrastructure to system and network troubleshooting. I came on board alongside a young talented team, into a state of the art centre that was just developed. Being a part of something as rewarding as building a fibre infrastructure from the ground up is one of my biggest accomplishments at Cologix to date.

What began as a telecommunications technician role, almost immediately developed into a System/Network administrator position. Having installed and deployed Server 2008, I was part of the original team tasked with developing and perfecting the companies network infrastructure. My role included day to day tasks such as DHCP, DNS and Exchange server set-ups, creating domain users, applying group policies, network security and general system troubleshooting.

The role that jump started my entire career in Technology. A satellite technician position that quickly evolved into a telecommunications specialist. Building CO's and Shelters as well as maintaining and deploying fiber optic infrastructures were my primary tasks.
