About Eric Giannini

I joined PCA in January 2022 as Director, Product Standards and Technology. I am an active member of ACI, ASTM, RILEM, and ASCE, and currently serve as Secretary of ASTM C09.64 on Nondestructive Testing and C01.10 on Hydraulic Cements. I was a Principal Investigator in RJ Lee Group's Construction Materials group from 2017 to 2021, acting as a subject matter expert in concrete materials, concrete pavements, and nondestructive testing of concrete, and supporting a variety of projects related to failures of concrete structures and cementitious materials. I also maintained research collaborations with colleagues in academia, with substantial funded efforts related to the durability of concrete in nuclear power plants. Previously, I was an assistant professor at The University of Alabama specializing in concrete materials. There, I received over $1 million in external research funding from a broad portfolio of federal, state, and industry sponsors.
