I leverage my 20+ years of CAD & survey mapping experience to design survey projects with high level quality assurance. Using a strong attention to detail, I incorporate large amounts of field data into highly detailed maps & topographic surveys using Autodesk & Carlson Survey products. NRCS & wetland easement projects require my skilled drafting to meet government standards. I use multiple platforms as needed for each unique project to deliver comprehensive maps for our clients. I interpret detailed title search information (deeds & conveyances) to illustrate old & new easements on ALTA/ACSM surveys, combining boundary & topographic surveys for final deliverables. I also create subdivision designs, starting with a blank canvas, collecting existing condition & land parcel information, then design lots based on the data. These projects utilize my knowledge of square footage, frontage criteria, utility easements, right of away widths, & more. Even though I work for a small, locally owned company in rural Missouri, I have created survey maps for projects in 25+ states of the U.S.A. I have developed strong communication skills through the years that I use when leading a project. I read detailed scopes of work to determine what the client is wanting & convey this information to help project managers understand the impact on company resources & time. My 20+ years of experience has given me an in depth understanding of what the client is asking for in the scope of work & I am able to monitor survey data to determine if enough data has been collected. If it hasn’t, I use my past experience as a surveyor to determine what data the survey crew is capable of collecting & then communicating to the crew the remaining data that is necessary. I also lead a team of draftsmen, where I get templates setup properly for the team, make sure software is to the current standard necessary for the project, get the project setup properly so the final product looks seamless across the board, & perform quality checks before final deliverables are sent. I have a strong dedication to detail because I want to create the best product possible & will not take shortcuts that compromise the integrity of the final deliverable. Our clients have complemented my projects several times because I go above & beyond to create exactly what the client is looking for in a final product. My goal is to have projects done right the first time, every time, & want my projects to be the standard every client goes by. I am self-motivated & work well with a team or on my own.
