Eric Gray is a dedicated professional with a diverse range of experiences and a passion for making a positive impact in his community. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Eric moved to Los Angeles in the early 2000s and began working in the entertainment industry as a bodyguard. Eric's journey took a transformative turn when he became involved with Central Mental Health, later known as Project 180. Over the course of 16 years, including 9 years spent directly on Skid Row, he dedicated himself to fighting recidivism and homelessness in the community. Starting as a security professional, Eric advanced to become the Operations Manager and eventually transitioned into the role of Housing Specialist. Through his experiences and the challenges he faced, Eric gained valuable insights into how organizations like Project 180 can truly make a difference.Currently, Eric serves on the Lived Experience Advisory Board of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), where he advocates for the adult and family populations in SPA 1. Eric's ultimate goal is to shape a supportive and empathetic community for everyone.In addition to his work with LAHSA, Eric is also involved with the Gray Family Association, where he serves as the Chairman, providing leadership and representation for the organization. He is a General Partner of Gray Family Partners, a property and asset management company, and uses his expertise as a Grant Writer to secure funding for organizations and oversee the implementation of grant-related projects.Throughout his career, Eric has held various positions in different industries, including CEO of CBC Party Supply and Operations Manager at Prime Developers. He has also worked as a Private Executive Protection professional, Security Officer, Bartender, and Maintenance Technician, among other roles.Eric's dedication to professional growth is evident in his numerous certifications, licenses, and training courses. Notably, he is a certified Financial Coach, equipped with the skills to help individuals achieve their financial goals. He has also received training in trauma-informed care, housing retention, and accessibility needs for persons with disabilities, demonstrating his commitment to serving diverse populations.Outside of his professional endeavors, Eric is one of the proud owners of the Green Bay Packers and finds inspiration in a quote by Vincent Thomas Lombardi: "The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have."
