I am looking for opportunities with nonprofit organizations where these two passions meet.Sample of data analysis projects completed:-Utilized Raiser's Edge to query 10 years of data on alumni giving before exporting that data to Excel. In Excel I cleaned the data and analyzed it using pivot tables to summarize alumni giving by various factors including year and gift type (restricted/unrestricted) to determine trends in giving.-Created a dashboard on Raiser's Edge NXT to track performance of major gift officers through various metrics including number of calls/donor visits and data on gifts secured. I also generated reports visualizing monthly/YTD progress.-In July 2023 I completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. These courses included introductions to SQL and R which I had the opportunity to demonstrate my knowledge of through an optional case study during the program's capstone course. As part of this I utilized R to analyze a dataset of 5.8 million Divvy bikeshare rides in Chicago that took place over the course of a year. In my analysis I calculated and visualized the number of rides and average ride durations by rider type (member/casual), day of week, and month to determine trends in ridership based on these various factors. https://www.kaggle.com/code/ericgreenfield/bike-share-case-study/notebook-My MPA program included a Public Policy and Analysis class in which we learned to use SPSS to conduct statistical analyses. For my final project in this class I used SPSS to analyze data from the Washington Post's police shootings database. The statistical models that I created through this analysis then formed the basis of my final paper which explored the relationship between race and police shootings.
