    Consulted at Sprint.Eric supported the topology databases for the Sprint Broadband Network Management Division project releases for July and September. Some of Eric’s accomplishments on this project involved taking 2 data evolution extract queries running for 2 ½ hours and 1 ½ hours respectively, and tuning them both to run in 1 second each.As the Physical Oracle DBA Team Lead, Eric supervised 4 other DBA’s, working in a data warehousing environment utilizing Oracle Parallel Server (8.0.6, 8.1.6) on IBM SP2/AIX Silver Node frames with 8 Terabytes of data, 500,000 database objects in 12 OPS databases, spread across 53 OPS instances. He and his team supported the Enterprise Business Information organization (finance), including over 80 developers, technical architects, data administrators, and business analysts. He additionally supported various non-OPS Solaris and NT databases, and provided 24x7 oncall support for all databases. Eric was the project DBA (logical and physical) on the LTD Carrier Market Resegmentation, LTD Daily Sales Stabilization, LTD Feature Usage, and LTD NIBS Stabilization projects.Eric conducted technical interviews for new Oracle DBA team members for Sprint (as the team lead), as well as for MCG DBA candidates.Eric was awarded the Sprint Values Excellence award for his work on the LTD ABM/LOB project.
