After college graduation, I quickly found a job as a personal banker for Chase. Working at a bank is great experience for any business major. Working for such a big and well run company as Chase, is even better. At Chase, I obtained my series 6 and 63 licenses. I also went through training programs for personal and business lending. However, the constant interaction with the bank's customers was where I learned the most.After 2 years at Chase, an opportunity arose to purchase an Allstate Insurance Agency. With Allstate, I obtained several insurance licenses to go along with my 6 and 63. Allstate agents are exclusive and independent contractors. I now had to learn how to start, run, and grow a business. While there were a few missteps along the way, this was a highly rewarding experience. Over the next few years, I would purchase 2 more Allstate Insurance Agencies. Currently, I own and manage an agency on the south side of Indianapolis.I believe my work experience up to this point has helped me develop into an honest, efficient, and well-rounded professional. Working for and owning a business in such a regulated industry has helped instill a high level of integrity and honesty in me.
