Began with Ericsson as a support engineer then promoted quickly to lead support engineer. In 2013 I became the Manager of Customer Support for the US, Australia. My tier 2 team supported over 250 customers with over $18 Million in support contracts and $3 Billion in broadcast revenue. My responsibilities included personnel management, competence development, budgeting, asset management, process analysis/improvements and planning and scheduling all technical field services for my region. Required to be proficient on hundreds of device configurations for Tandberg/Ericsson equipment. I assist customers on repair and configuration of SD and HD, Mpeg2 and Mpeg4 Encoders, receivers, transcoders, system control platforms and IPTV systems. I have built and upgraded ATSC broadcast stations encoding systems with multiplexing configurations.

I started out as a TOC operator. Responsible for quality control and performance of the transmission elements of Discovery Communications networks. After 4 Months I was assigned the Task of training the TOC personnel on all facets of their duties. I developed new procedures and processes to streamline troubleshooting and error reporting for network issues. In my 6th month I was promoted to Staff Engineer. My responsibilities included maintaining the Motorola DigiCipher II equipment for 25 broadcast channels and the technical evaluation of MPEG 4 HD transmission equipment.

Provided portable uplink capabilities for teleconferencing and video broadcasting. Charged with delivering, setup, and maintenance of C-Band and KU-Band transportable earth stations. Responsibilities included maintaining RF, video, and audio equipment. To include distribution and monitoring of these platforms. Clients include HBO, Fox News, CBS, ABC, ABSAT, ESPN, and The Golf Channel. Installed computer network for the office staff and was responsible for all upgrading and software compatibility issues.

Experienced with developing and conducting training in tactical microwave and satellite communications systems. Training programs include instruction in link engineering, digital switching, fiber optic interface units, multiplexing techniques (to include TDM, FDM, PCM, PAM, FSK, and CVSD), modulation techniques (to include BPSK, QPSK, FDMA, and CDMA), Amplifiers, RF frequency conversion, and power generation.
