Passion. Experience. Knowledge. These are the three words I value most. As graduate in the degree of Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a certificate in Environmental Studies, I already have a solid base in these three areas. But, I work each and everyday to improve myself. There is always room for improvement.I have always had a passion for wildlife, and the natural world as a whole. I have grown up admiring the beauty and complexity of life through programs such as a the The Crocodile Hunter, Zaboomafoo, and the works of Sir David Attenborough. I have continued this passion by pursuing a degree in Wildlife Ecology, so that I may obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain employment in the field.Experience is the best teacher. Consequently, I have participated in numerous wildlife related activities and research projects. I have assisted the Wisconsin DNR in collecting white-tailed deer lymph nodes to test for chronic wasting disease, used radio telemetry to triangulate the locations of coyotes and red foxes in the Madison area, and collected data on Kirtland's Warbler nest predation and adult behavior.I strive to always learn as much as I can. I have taken multiple courses to enhance my knowledge of wildlife and its management, including Terrestrial Vertebrates, Techniques of Wildlife Management, and Ornithology. In addition, I have also taken other courses to broaden my knowledge on the natural world as a whole, such as Introductory Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Calculus, and Statistics.Wildlife is my life's passion and drive. I will always work to better my experience and understanding regarding the future of all wildlife species.
