· Modified an underwater surveillance buoy by adding an acoustic communications transducer to the existing system. Tested various designs to determine the most effective way to integrate a new component to an existing cohesive system.· Worked autonomously on the project from the initial planning stage through final testing.· Received 3 place out of ~20 interns at our end of summer project presentation and research report fair, was a year younger than all the other interns.
