I worked on many components of our large autonomous spray aircraft. I designed and managed manufacturing of the wire harness, high voltage distribution system, flight computer mechanical, BLDC motor controller mechanical, motors, props, and lots of ground support equipment including custom trailers, chemical mixing equipment, nurse truck, etc. I also developed various reliability test stands and organized international shipments to New Zealand and Costa Rica of our plane and associated hardware.

I worked on the MSF NYC COVID project as a logistics manager. We supported various housing organizations and individuals experiencing homelessness during the peak of COVID-19 cases in NYC. Our work included distributing free cell phones so individuals could stay connected to resources, providing advice on how shelters can operate safely without spreading infection, setting up 150+ handwashing stations, and providing free showers safely when normal providers could not.

I worked as a technical logistics manager based in Juba, South Sudan. In Juba I was responsible for a team of about 30 drivers, cooks, cleaners, and maintenance agents. I was responsible for all maintenance and safety of MSF-Holland facilities in Juba. I also spent 2+ months in the field providing technical support to various MSF projects throughout South Sudan.

-Tasked with redesigning the hip width adjustment mechanism, the component on Ekso's robotic medical rehab exoskeleton which, at the time, was consistently showing the most wear.-Determined the causes of accelerated wear, discovered solutions, prototyped and tested designs, and implemented a solution into production that successfully eliminated all wear problems. -Worked closely with director of mechanical engineering, senior engineers, staff scientists, technicians, purchasing, manufacturing, and personal trainers.-Gained experience in tribology, surface treatments, material selection, bearing design, force sensing, design reviews, design journals, quality control, document control, part and assembly drawings, GD&T, product reliability testing, manufacturing processes, purchasing, and budgets.

2010-11 · Performed the duties of a professional mechanical engineer. Worked closely with chemists, biologists, microscopists, and researchers to meet their engineering needs. · Gained experience designing and creating parts for vacuum systems, optical and electron microscopes, high-voltage electronics, micro/nano positioning systems, and other various precision systems. I created mechanical solutions for real company issues. · Designed, modeled, prototyped, and manufactured projects in house.

· Modified an underwater surveillance buoy by adding an acoustic communications transducer to the existing system. Tested various designs to determine the most effective way to integrate a new component to an existing cohesive system.· Worked autonomously on the project from the initial planning stage through final testing.· Received 3 place out of ~20 interns at our end of summer project presentation and research report fair, was a year younger than all the other interns.
