Performed multiple roles on a small multidisciplinary R&D team. Responsibilities included new firmware, material selection, mechanical CAD, and rapid prototyping for decorative electronic door hardware and BLE-enabled products.

Contributed new features and enhancements to user-interface applications on embedded Linux platforms in CATV and network monitoring devices. This was primarily in C++ using the Qt Framework, but I also worked on a team prototyping a new web application with Angular. In addition to new development, I helped troubleshoot and implement solutions for customer issues dealing with cable modem testing, web interfaces to back-office test equipment, and more.

There's a breadth of projects I might find myself working on, but I'm primarily tasked with developing firmware for electromechanical system prototypes and with helping bring these new ideas to market.My projects have included motor drives to sortation systems, and have integrated the following technologies:-Cellular M2M-Wi-Fi-TLS-AWS IoT-Serial Communication (UART, RS232, RS485, Modbus, I2C)

Helped with the derivation, maintenance, and traceability of system requirements for a number of defense systems. Composed test plans and performed testing for a mission planning software package, and led the implementation of a prototype calculator function within said package.

-Processed, analyzed, and presented results from a 3D CFD simulation of a USAF testing facility-Investigated validity of boundary conditions through comparisons with experimental data-Developed a 1D frequency domain acoustic model of the facility to more efficiently examine simulation boundary conditions

-Measured the performance of automated assembly screwdrivers as well as the quality of new part designs-Composed and presented training material to a global audience for the TorqueStar transducer and the PCD300 strain recorder-Helped improve accuracy and repeatability of two assembly processes-Advised designers on likely failure areas during the manufacturing process
