Mr. Hammarberg has diverse experience from hands-on construction/craftsman to designer and project manager for many historic restoration and preservation projects such as facade restoration of the Chrysler Building. During his more than twenty-five year career, Mr. Hammarberg has been responsible for condition surveys, preservation methodologies, restorations, programming, specification research and writing, and agency compliance for handicap access, environmental, and historic landmarks commissions. His primary expertise is in the restoration of historic masonry and roofing systems. Based on his experience he takes a creative approach to projects involving difficult access, investigation techniques, building monitoring, and repairs of archaic and unusual materials. Mr. Hammarberg most recently managed the New York office of Brisk Waterproofing, part of Western Construction Group, a nationwide waterproofing restoration and preservation contractor. Prior to that position he was Vice President and Director of Historic Preservation at Thornton Tomasetti. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Rhode Island School of Design. -
