Database Administrator
Current· Experience in Database Administration and Development in SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 deployment, migration and maintenance for Microsoft Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory · Works with internal infrastructure to size and order new database instances within the Development Environment in support of Project Development work· Develop, manage, schedule, and document data warehouse operations and tasks, including archival, security, backup & work load management· Reviews performance and trending of prior days workload (TASM). Makes recommendations on improvements to processes· Assist developers in the development of database procedures, triggers and SQL scripts, as well as performance turning and SQL code troubleshooting as necessary· Perform SQL server configuration and performance tuning (using Idera's Diagnostic Manager, DMV's, sql profiler, perfmon, index tuning wizard and query analyzer), reviews SQL queries and improves their execution metrics· Developed and maintained in-house written utilities using SSIS and T-SQL· Provided general support for the developers (questions about stored procedures, triggers, SSIS/dts packages, T-SQL features, reporting services, etc)· Set up and supported log shipping, replication (transactional), database mirroring and Always On Availability that were used for failover and DR purposes· Works with management to create development and support strategies for database systems· Monitors SQL performance using various tools (SCOM, Idera, OMI, etc) and performs database training and assists application developers with performance tuning efforts· Work with development team to improve security, and develop & implement auditing process· Managing SQL patching, decommission and upgrade schedule· Perform and support SQL native security feature such as Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Column/Cell-Level Encryption and as well as Data Masking
