I began my professional career at Colorado Technical University in Sioux Falls, SD in the IT department. I worked at CTU while attending classes towards my BS in IT and my MBA. After receiving those degrees, I married my wife, Amy Jo, and moved to the Omaha, NE area. I framed houses for a couple months while looking for work in the IT industry. Omaha Public Schools hired me in October 2004 and I worked for them until August 2006. I then started my position at MBA Poultry located in Waverly, NE (down by Lincoln) as a DBA. I was promoted to Director of IT in August 2007. I managed a great team of IT folks and we had lots of fun.I took the position with Pinnacle West working from my home office in Gretna, NE as it was something different and seemed like a nice challenge. I was tasked with leading the Install department and while managing all aspects of IT. The position is very fast-paced, which suited me well. Cost-savings and resource management are two of the primary objectives in the Install department, which has always been a joy for me. I’ve since become the Director of IT and Pinnacle West has merged with Pinnacle Communications, headquartered out of Germantown, MD (DC).
