Duties: • Responsible for the high rise tower, consisting of 4 basement slabs and 25 levels above the street. • Later assigned to an additional two 12 level buildings to expedite the construction of four core structures using a Hunnebeck formwork climbing system, two floors in advance of the typical slabs. • Oversee all logistics, develop and apply a crane booking system, which was applied to eight fixed tower cranes over the project. • Manage a team of Engineers, Supervisors and Foremen for the actual on site work execution to achieve, or better daily targets for casting concrete elements. • Set up the automatic climbing system from the initial meeting to co-ordinate the service penetrations and climbing anchors until completion of the tower structure. • Direct the works to maintain, or better the construction cycle, initially programmed at 7 days for wall elements and 10 days for slabs. • Team leader for completing works for important contractual mile stone completion deadlines. • Team leader for the implementation of new technology works to fast track the high rise works, e.g. concrete placing equipment necessary to casting tower cores was designed, manufactured and operated under my direction. • Report to the Section Manager as needed on programme issues, construction methodology and potential issues of delay. • Oversee the various methods of winter working to maintain concrete casting in temperatures down to minus 3 degrees celcius. • Preparing site documentation such as site instructions, delay and disruptions, site requisitions and request for information.. Conduct factory visits to confirm production and quality available for the required schedule.

Responsible for all site mobilization, earth works, infrastructure, Podium site management. Bulk and fine excavation including service roads. Diversion of services and setting out for piling under the raft. Site set up included the modification of a palatial multi-purpose Arabic military building into offices for the project design/construct team.

Preparation of scaffolding, high rise catch fans three levels under the typical slab under construction, temporary staircases and communication ways. Emergency lighting and maintenance of fire fighting equipment. Heavy plant and equipment maintenance and safety testing. Potain & Lieberr tower cranes, Alimac hoists, HEK climbing platforms for external stone cladding and 12 swinging stages allocated to the facade finishes.
