I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles, California with him and five other students where we attended and presented a workshop at the 2015 Impact Conference. The workshop encompassed our efforts with "Escape the Box", a project developed in Dr. Hartman's Leadership class, that touched on the issue of orphanage tourism and ways to combat it. A year after sitting in his classroom and attending the conference had passed and Dr. Hartman joyfully accepted an invitation to grab a cup of coffee with me and another student. He is personally invested in the students that intersect his path. While my time in his classroom is no longer, I have confidence that I will continue to learn from Dr. Hartman. His wisdom and insights are treasured by all.
