Eric Hartman is a Co-Founder and Editor at The Community-Based Global Learning Collaborative. He possess expertise in community outreach, nonprofits, public speaking, grants, fundraising and 41 more skills. He is proficient in Spanish. Colleagues describe him as "As a student, the knowledge and insight gained from Dr. Hartman has stretched far beyond the classroom walls. His continuous work of advocacy and passion towards social justice and ethical volunteering is captivating and contagious to both his colleagues and his students. Entering into his class, you are exposed to a vast world of ideas and challenged to delve deeper into your own beliefs. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles, California with him and five other students where we attended and presented a workshop at the 2015 Impact Conference. The workshop encompassed our efforts with "Escape the Box", a project developed in Dr. Hartman's Leadership class, that touched on the issue of orphanage tourism and ways to combat it. A year after sitting in his classroom and attending the conference had passed and Dr. Hartman joyfully accepted an invitation to grab a cup of coffee with me and another student. He is personally invested in the students that intersect his path. While my time in his classroom is no longer, I have confidence that I will continue to learn from Dr. Hartman. His wisdom and insights are treasured by all.
