I am one of 2 local Network Support Engineers supporting all of Sacramento locations of Dignity Health locations, Mercy Health locations and Catholic Charities data centers. We install, support new network devices, switches, battery back ups, PDU's, cabling issues, manage servers and any issues related to performance issues or failing hard drives.

As a Systems Validation Tech, As part of the system-based manufacturing team, as one of three Technicians we are responsible for the Platform-based Product Validation (CMV-PPV group) test HW and SW bring up and platform upkeep. I work on system hardware, software and content execution using Python. I have to be in the lab executing various experiments listed by the engineering team and reporting my test findings.

In charge of building security, camera system, staff access and badges, custom PC images, refresh of laptops and desktops, cloud back ups using MS Azure, backing up user data & transfer along with managing data restores.

Job duties and support varies, we have revolving roles. For a few weeks you work Helpdesk, working incoming email requests and take incoming calls for support. Another two weeks you support the counties Hedding location, another two weeks your on call doing roving support at varies county locations. As part of a growing IT support team we cover all basis like any other Helpdesk, password resets, add new user to AD, build Outlook mailbox's, image PC's, install MS apps and support them. Determine network issues, WIFI, VPN and printing problems. We manage many different networks for each location. We also provide Board of Chambers support during their hearings.
